Valentine's Fun - DIY Recycled Valentines! Saturdays, 2/6 and 2/13 we'll have a DIY table stocked with old magazines, scissors, glue, ribbon, glitter and other odds and ends for creating your very own recycled valentines.
Girl's Night Out - Wednesday 2/17 from 5:00 - 8:00 Make a lavender sachet using scrap fabric and locally grown lavender with Cynthia Caudill from ReThink Crafts.

Celebrate Valentines Day with a Family Portrait! Professional Photographer Michael Peterson will have a studio set up inside Mall 202 for your convenience two days only Feb 12 and 13. He will offer on the spot printing-5x7 for $12 and 8x10 for $20. Watch for more details in next week's email.
Recipe
From Equal Exchange-- These pancakes would make a wonderful Valentine's morning treat for all your sweeties.
Chocolate Croissant Pancakes
Ingredients:
* 2 cups whole wheat flour
* 1 tsp baking soda
* 1/4 tsp salt
* 2 tsp sugar
* 2 Tbsp wheat germ
* 2 scoops protein powder
* 1 bar Equal Exchange Organic Very Dark Chocolate, broken into quarter-size pieces
* 2 eggs
* 1 cup plain yogurt (thinned with a little water or milk)
* 2 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
In a large bowl, mix together the dry ingredients. In separate bowl, beat eggs into yogurt and then mix in melted butter. Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients, just until moistened.
Heat griddle over medium heat until a drop of water sizzles on it. Pour or spoon batter to make pancakes approximately 4" in diameter. Allow pancakes to cook a minute or two, until you see the first bubble. Press a few pieces of chocolate bar lightly into the wet batter. Cook for a minute or two more, until you see more bubbles rise to the top of the pancake. Flip and cook for 20-30 seconds longer. Serve immediately. Wonderful with strawberries on top.
