Here’s a slideshow on how to retrieve email using Gmail.  Mind you, you don’t need to use your Gmail email address.  You’re just using Gmail to pick up your email that’s based on your domain name.

Gmail does an excellent job of filtering spam, it provides huge amounts of storage, it’s rock solid, and has lots of nice features that allow you to whip through checking email.

Sending Email With Gmail

Be sure to use mail.yourdomainname.com as the SMTP server (swapping in your domain name for “yourdomainname”) and use Port 465.  And use the SSL option, not TLS.
